West Valley City is adhering to its usual fireworks restrictions for the Pioneer Day holiday. Fireworks are prohibited in all areas west of U-111 and on all city-owned property, as well as near wildland interface areas. That includes the Jordan River Parkway and any other property adjacent to the property.

 

Residents should verify that they are not within a restricted area before using fireworks and should follow all safety requirements. An interactive map of restricted areas may be viewed online.

As a reminder, fireworks may only be discharged for the Pioneer Day holiday between July 22nd and July 25th. Hours are from 11am to 11pm except on July 24th where discharge hours are extended to midnight. 

We remind West Valley City residents that fire conditions are still high this summer, and to please use caution while using any fireworks.
